Public Meeting is Scheduled for Proposed Chestnut Lane Connector in Union County

CHARLOTTE – The N.C. Department of Transportation will hold a public meeting next week regarding two proposed projects to extend Chestnut Parkway from Matthews-Indian Trail Road to Old Monroe Road in Union County.

The meeting will be held Tuesday, Feb. 20 from 5 to 7 p.m. at the Indian Trail Elementary School Media Center, 200 Education Drive. The public may attend the meeting at any time to talk with NCDOT representatives and to submit comments. No formal presentation will be made at the meeting.

Citizens can view maps and preliminary project designs at http://www.ncdot.gov/projects/publicmeetings.

NCDOT will provide auxiliary aids and services under the Americans with Disabilities Act for disabled persons who wish to participate in this meeting. Persons who speak Spanish, or have a limited ability to read, speak or understand English may receive interpretive services upon request prior to the meeting by calling 1-800-481-6494.
