Pineview Street in Randolph County Would be Widened

RANDLEMAN – To improve traffic flow and safety, the N.C. Department of Transportation proposes widening more than a half mile of Pineview Street north of Asheboro.

The project calls for adding a center turn lane to the two-lane road between Sylvan Drive and North Fayetteville Street (U.S. 220 Business).

Interested residents may learn more at a public open house from 4 to 7 p.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 16, at the Randleman Community Center, 144 W. Academy St. NCDOT representatives will be available to answer questions and collect comments about the proposed widening. Comments may be submitted until Feb. 15.
