YADKINVILLE — Governor Roy Cooper visited the Yadkin County
Maintenance Yard on Tuesday.
Gov. Cooper thanked NCDOT employees, gave a few remarks and toured
the facility. County Maintenance Engineer Anthony Baugess and his crew gave Gov.
Cooper a demonstration on how brine is prepare before it is applied to
state-maintained roads.
It is believed to be the first visit by a sitting governor to the
Yadkin County Maintenance Yard in more than 25 years.
