Burgaw - The new Burgaw Driver
License office officially opened for business on Wednesday with a ribbon-cutting
ceremony. The office re-opened this week at 781 U.S. 117 South in the old
Pender Plumbing Co. building. The location also serves as a district office for
the N.C. Highway Patrol.
“We are excited to be in Burgaw to open this full-time driver
license office,” said DMV Commissioner Torre J. Jessup. “This is a special day
for all of us as we’ve worked on this project since last fall.”
Commissioner Jessup was joined at the ceremony by Pender County
Manager Randell Woodruff, Pender County Commissioner Jackie Newton, Burgaw
Mayor Pete Cowan, N.C. Highway Patrol District Commander Capt. John Morton and
N.C. Highway Patrol 1st Sgt. T.C. Wells.
The Burgaw office hours have changed to 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday
through Friday.

appointments and operating hours.
DMV offers driver license renewals and many other services online.

to see if their driver license needs can be met online.
