Guide to Pathway Success
The Education Initiatives Program offers programs and activities
to introduce courses in science, technology, engineering and math (also
referred to as STEM) to transportation to elementary, middle and high school
students through mentorships in schools, job shadowing with N.C. Department of
Transportation staff, transportation events and other opportunities.

grade levels to spark student interest in transportation and engineering
careers.
