The National Summer Transportation Institute program, or NSTI, is a partnership with the Federal Highway Administration and the N.C. Department of Transportation.
NSTI provides middle and high school students the chance to learn about careers in the transportation sector.
The program aims to increase the number of students pursuing advanced degrees and careers in transportation-related STEM (science, technology, engineering, mathematics) fields while also increasing the participation of minorities and women in those fields.
