More than 50 of North Carolina's busiest driver license offices have been renovated and upgraded in recent years to improve customer experience and reduce wait times.
Greeters help identify and serve customers' needs when they arrive by:
Making sure they have correct documents
Guiding them to self-service kiosks to print necessary documents
Helping them complete common NCDMV services, such as license renewal, online
Customers receive a time-stamped queuing ticket and can track their wait as part of a queue-flow system. And while they wait, they can take advantage of free Wi-Fi.
Every driver license examiner station has a camera, scanner, printer and additional equipment to speed up the process of getting a license.
