Some key responsibilities of the EEO unit include:
- Ensuring that all human resource practices are fair and equitable
- Investigating discrimination, harassment and retaliation complaints
- Providing technical assistance and guidance to management
- Providing EEO training to NCDOT employees
- Evaluating NCDOT units to ensure EEO policy adherence
