WINSTON SALEM -An N.C. Department of Transportation contractor will implement overnight lane closures on Interstate 40 in Forsyth County tonight and Tuesday night for an ongoing rehabilitation and bridge preservation project, weather permitting.
The following closures will take place from 8 p.m. – 5 a.m. the following morning:
- Tonight, one of two lanes will close on I-40 west from the Guilford County line to N.C. 66.
- Tuesday, one of two lanes will close on I-40 west from N.C. 66 to Union Cross Road.
- Tuesday, one of two lanes will close on I-40 east from N.C. 66 to the Guilford County line.
Motorists should use caution while traveling through the work zones and plan accordingly for delays.
