DURHAM – Crews plan to close a section of Alston Avenue through the weekend to work on removing an old railroad bridge.
The road closure is set to be in place between Angier Ave and N.C. 147 from 9 a.m. Friday to 6 a.m. Monday, weather permitting. The closure will allow for the work to be completed safely and efficiently.
Drivers will be directed to use N.C. 147, Fayetteville Street and Main Street to access points on either side of the closure.
Drivers should expect to find crews working along this stretch of Alston Avenue and factor the detour into their trips.
