WINSTON-SALEM – An N.C. Department of Transportation contractor will implement overnight lane and ramp closures on Interstate 40 West in Forsyth County tonight and tomorrow for an ongoing rehabilitation and bridge preservation project, weather permitting.
The following closures will take place from 8 p.m. – 5 a.m. the following morning:
- Tonight, two of three lanes will close from U.S. 52 to Peters Creek Parkway.
- Thursday, two of three lanes will close from Peters Creek Parkway to west of Stratford Road.
The offramp from I-40 West to Peters Creek Parkway (Exit 192) is scheduled to be closed from 10 p.m. to 6 a.m. the following morning with a detour.
Motorists should use caution while traveling through the work zones and plan accordingly for delays.
