Forsyth County Bridge Repair Begins Over N.C. 150

WINSTON-SALEM – The N.C. Department of Transportation has closed a segment of a state highway to begin repairs to the West Clemmonsville Road bridge that was damaged by a collision on May 26.

The southbound lanes of N.C. 150 (Peter's Creek Parkway) have been closed near the West Clemmonsville Road interchange to repair the bridge that carries traffic over the highway. The bridge itself will also remain closed to thru traffic while repairs are ongoing.

Following an inspection of the bridge, repair plans were finalized this morning and NCDOT has begun coordinating with contractors to assist with the work. Repairs will include replacing rebar and concrete on the damaged bridge beams. All work is expected to be complete by June 12.

During the closure, all southbound thru traffic will need to exit and proceed through the roundabout on West Clemmonsville Road to continue onto N.C. 150 South.

Motorists are advised to slow down and allow extra time due to the detour.
