MONROE – N.C. Department of Transportation contract crews will close Prospect Road between Carl Belk and Plyler Roads on Monday, Oct. 24 to replace the bridge over Polecat Creek. The $691,456 contract was awarded in August to Dellinger Inc. out of Monroe.
The contract calls for the bridge to open by April 2023, allowing for vegetation establishment to continue through October 2023.
While the bridge is closed, traffic will be detoured along Carl Belk, Trinity Church and Plyler Mill Roads, returning to Prospect Road.
