DURHAM — N.C. Department of Transportation contractors are set to close Holloway Street and its ramps at the U.S. 70 interchange in Durham tonight.
Beginning at 9 p.m., Holloway Street between Hardee Street and Hoover Road and the ramps to and from U.S. 70 will be closed.
A detour will lead drivers on Holloway Street to use Hardee Street, Cheek Road, Muldee Street and Hoover Road to access U.S. 70 or to get back on Holloway Street on either side of the closure.
Drivers on U.S. 70 wishing to access Holloway Street will be directed to Cheek Road (Exit 286) and then follow the detour above to reach Holloway Street.
Holloway Street and the ramps to and from U.S. 70 are scheduled to reopen by 6 a.m. Thursday.
Drivers should pay extra attention and allow extra time to navigate around the work zone.
