The NCDOT General Services Division consists of three sub-sections including:

(1) Facilities Design, Construction and Maintenance
(2) Support Services
(3) Property Management

Total personnel complement is 114. Operating budget is about $15 million yearly and the projected annual capital appropriation is $12 million.

General Services Division provides: engineering and planning assistance for Capital Improvement Projects and Federally funded projects; Maintenance and Renovation to existing facilities across the state; office related support for DOT Administration, the Division of Highways, and the Division of Motor Vehicles; inventory of the Department's 2960 + buildings statewide. The Division also assists in statewide research to improve the NCDOT.
